The Backup Plan That Has Your Back

When unexpected expenses hit, Courtesy Pay can help you stay ahead.
Unexpected moments happen. Maybe your grocery run costs a little more than expected, gas running low midweek, or a recurring bill hits earlier than you planned. Courtesy Pay is the safety net that helps ensure your essential transactions still go through – even when your account balance is a little short.
Nothing complicated. Not a loan. It’s just a smart backup plan.
What is Courtesy Pay?
Courtesy Pay is an overdraft protection service available to our members with eligible share draft (checking) accounts. When enrolled, we may cover transactions that exceed your available balance – up to your approved limit of $500. This coverage applies to checks, automatic bill payments, and other recurring debit transactions that use your account number. Courtesy Pay is added automatically to eligible accounts, and you may opt out at any time by contacting us.
When Courtesy Pay covers a payment, a fee of $25.00 will apply, and we’ll send you a notice when an overdraft occurs. To keep your account in good standing, you’ll need to bring your balance back to positive within 30 days.

Courtesy Pay Terms & Conditions (Discretionary Overdraft Service)
Courtesy Pay is a discretionary service available to eligible accounts in good standing. If a transaction (e.g. automatic bill payment, check, debit purchases, ATM withdrawals, return/unpaid of items deposited by you) would overdraw your account, we may pay the item on your behalf, up to your approved overdraft limit of $500. A fee of $25.00 will be charged each time Courtesy Pay is used. Overdraft coverage is not guaranteed for every transaction. We reserve the right to decline payment of an overdraft under certain circumstances – for example, if your account is not in good standing, if you have a history of frequent overdrafts, or if you have delinquent loans.
Your account is eligible for Courtesy Pay if the account holder is at least 18 years of age, the account has been open for at least thirty (30) days, and the account remains in good standing at the time of enrollment.
Transactions that may be covered include checks, automatic bill payments, recurring debit card transactions, electronic fund transfers, the return/unpaid of items deposited by you. Courtesy Pay does not cover overdrafts for ATM withdrawals and everyday debit card purchases unless you choose to opt-in for overdraft protection for these transactions.
You must bring your account back to positive balance within 30 days of the overdraft. If you do not, the overdraft and fee(s) may remain outstanding. Your account is subject to a legal or administrative order or levy.
On each periodic statement we provide, a separate disclose of total dollar amount of all overdraft fees charged for the statement period, as well as a year-to-date total.
Courtesy Pay is not an actual or implied contract or obligation between you and the credit union. It is a discretionary courtesy the credit union may choose to offer and may revoke or decline at any time, without notice, reason, or cause. Members who wish to remove themselves or opt out of the Courtesy Pay program should contact a credit union representative. If you opt out of Courtesy Pay, please be aware that any overdraft items will be returned if there are insufficient funds. You will incur any applicable Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) for each item presented, please refer to our Fee Schedule for a full list of current fees.
